Naughty Girl!

So, I've been terrible and I haven't updated my site/blog in a few months. Things haven't been too busy. Granted I do have newer pictures I could post and link to -- I just have nothing substantial to discuss. Worse than that, I've been naughty and I haven't done any product reviews. Though I do have a handful of new favorites, I just haven't gotten around to discussing them.

I'll try and get to that come January.

PROMISE!

Burlesque Makeup Transition

Burlesque Makeup Transition

CLICK HERE TO WATCH MY YOUTUBE VIDEO

Wanna watch the "Burlesque" transition? Its a fast paced video of me doing my makeup thing. From beginning to finish. lol I look like a bum through most of it. But I thought this was fun. ♥

This was Look #2 for my 13 Looks of Halloween series. :o)

Look #2: Burlesque Inspired Makeup

Look #2: Burlesque Inspired Makeup

Look # 2: "Burlesque" inspired makeup. This look was a ton of fun! I really had a great time doing it. The process took about 35 minutes (I used double lashes!) -- but I loved this look. Its very vampy & sexy. I loved it so much! I really wish I could have worn it out.

I WILL being doing this look again. (Maybe I'll even provide a tutorial.) When aiming for burlesque, think of glitz and glam. I had a shimmer & sparkle on my eye lids and on those red hot lips. The final out come was flawless. (At least as flawless as I could possibly manage, lol)

Ps. I have to tell you all that I absolutely LOVED this look. I will likely reuse it when I can. It is very sexy -- and very beautiful in person. This look is perfect for any makeup guru that enjoys feeling "pretty".

Look #1: "Sally" from The Nightmare Before Christmas

Look #1: "Sally" from The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Look #1 -- "Sally" from The Nightmare Before Christmas. I was going to provide a video of the transformation, but I messed that up and lost the footage. These pictures are all I have. Word of warning, spend a few extra bucks when purchasing any sort of all over face paint. The white face paint for this look sucked. I literally applied 5-6 coats to get a white consistency.

I had NO red wig to complete the look -- so I took a stab at creating one via photo shop. I personally like the look. However, I do feel it could have been better. At any rate, I'm very excited to get the series under way.

:)

If you have any suggestions at all for upcoming looks (and or) tutorials, just make a request in the comment section. Thanks! <3

October 1st = YAY!

October 1st = YAY!

Hey guys, I just wanted to update you and let you all know that I have a lot going on. (Which I absolutely love!) I'm one of those people that thoroughly enjoys being busy. At least, I like it for a while. Then things need to slow down so I can recharge myself.

So yeah, it is officially October. Which means, I will be doing my 13 Looks of Halloween series. Some of you may be aware that I debuted the series last year for 2010. So its pretty cool to do it a second year. I'll keep it going for as long as I can.

I have a lot of ideas that I want to play out and put into motion. What it all depends on is the viewers. Right now, I'm a little known secret. Close family and friends are showing me plenty of love and support. Which is really awesome, but I want to reach out to an audience that extends beyond my home town. I'd like to incorporate contests for my fans. I'm a very hands on person, so each contest I do run will be tailored to my own personality. Keep an eye out for that! My first contest will likely be revealed at the start of November.

(Just in time for the Holiday season!)

My updates might seem sporadic, but I'm doing my best to show case and highlight all that I can WHEN I can.

Reviews coming soon! My sister (holla!) Hooked me up -- and helped me to make one corner of my room a little more tolerable for camera reviews and picture taking. YAY! lol

Styles Photography!

Styles Photography!

Introducing -- a new service! Styles Photography is another aspect of my business "Styles By Spencer". For years, I've been studying photo editing software. Top of the line. I have 11 years worth of experience in graphics, and retouching. I'm self taught, but I love it. Photo Shop is a very powerful tool. Combine that with some snazzy makeup -- and you can have yourself flawless looking retouched photographs.

I'm a Capricorn -- I do what I want, when I want.

I love makeup and photography far too much to favor one over the other. I have a powerful new camera. (One that I just love.) For the price I paid, it delivers. In the next few weeks, I'll be show casing my makeup looks on models -- along with my 2011 13 Looks Of Halloween series. Better still, all the pictures of my models will be taken by me!

I'm very excited. I know Styles By Spencer, is still a little known secret to those in my area - but that doesn't bother me in the slightest. Good things come to those who wait, making me a very patient person.

Shout out to my friends and family! Thank you so much for all your support. <3

A Few Of My Favorite Things! Issue #1

A Few Of My Favorite Things! Issue #1

As soon as I find the time to do an on camera makeup review, I will! But for now, I wanted to highlight some of the products I'm in love with.

In recent years, lip stick has sort of taken a backseat to lip gloss. I have tons and tons of lip gloss, but my stick collection has dwindled. (That is until recently!) Give lipstick a chance, it's coming back with a vengeance.

You can never go wrong with a nude lip stick. (Or gloss for that matter.) But you don't want to over do it. If you want your look to stand out - make sure to put emphasis on one feature. If your eyes are bold, soften your lip. If your lip color is bold - soften the eye. Unless you want to project a heavy dramatic look, make sure to keep the balance!

Right now my two favorite shades -- are Strawberry Milk (Nyx) and Nostalgic (E.l.f).

These shades are creamy, and beautiful. Strawberry Milk is a creamy soft pinky peach -- while Nostalgic currently incorporates the perfect shade for what I consider to be nude. It goes well on any skin tone. I highly recommend these two colors.

Plus, both are affordable! Links will be provided below.

Be a trend setter. You won't regret it. ♥

You might have to browse for the right shade -- but while you're there - you might find something else that gets your attention.

Enjoy!
